One of my practices is real time adjustment of all things in my field.
This is an enormous and sometimes inconvenient practice.
It requires me to feel each moment and communicate with precision.
It also requires I communicate with approval and staying open to reception.
One of the saddest things I see is the cultural conditioning women (a lesser degree men) carry , that their desires are inconvenient. That asking for something extra or adjusting something means you are too much or ungrateful.
Well I am all kinds of too much.
Dripping in having it exactly and I mean exactly the way I want it.
And I will always tell you exactly how I’m experiencing things.
We are currently at the Four Seasons in Oahu.
We checked in around 6:30 pm the day we arrived and when we got to our room I was an immediate no.
We were on the 4th floor and our view didn’t clear the trees. I was just a no.
I sent the bell man away and I told Kellen and Scarlet to wait.
I went down to the desk and I didn’t get angry or extra.
I just said no.
This wasn’t going to work.
I would like a room on a higher floor.
“Absolutely no problem Mrs Chase”
And it took about 30 minutes but they made it happen.
I expressed my gratitude.
I have told them the wedding music was too loud and asked how many more weddings I could expect.
They told me there would be two more events during my stay.
I could live with that.
Why do I do this?
So I’m always in choice.
If they told me there were 7 weddings I may have left the resort.
I was not going to sit on my ass twiddle my thumbs being hopeful and resentful.
I want what I want how I want it.
There is a slight nuance people miss between adjustment and control.
Adjustment comes from flow.
Control comes from fear.
I’m always looking for greater flow.
Making adjustments that create openings for me and everyone around me.
Like clicking something in gear.
Once we are on the spot , we can fly.
Full steam ahead.
Most people can’t even feel this because we are so accustomed to settling and accommodating.
So I encourage you to real feel into this teaching and know that you are worth it.
You are worth every extra minute.
Every question.
Every request.
Just let go of doing it from fear and do it for the love of the possibilities in flow.
Aloha
