46 years ago born in a hospital in Florida to a young girl who wanted a better life for me than she could give me.

She was assaulted by my birth father in what I worked out through some deep somatic experiences that was an attempt to kill me in utero.

And of course I survived.

I was born on Tisha B’Av.

The day of mourning of the destruction of the great temples and the exile of the Jewish people.

The day that the light emerges from the dark.

Adopted by a Jewish family I was given the Hebrew name Ora which of course means shining light.

There is a teaching in Kabbalah I recently learned that big souls choose dark families as a form of protection until they are ready.

The “family” wraps the soul as a distraction to negative forces cloaking it.

I have never felt more grateful for that dark wrapping than I do now and all the souls who played their part to protect mine so it could expand.

I also have a deep appreciation for the perfection of every trauma, resistance, body issue and nervous system distortion that literally have been not only the perfect predestined home for my soul, but the exact soon required for me to learn how to drive the size of the energy I was born with.

I feel like I birth more and more of myself every year.

Especially at my big events.

This year was special though.

I felt myself take my foot off the break in all the locations I was trying to go forward while holding back at the same time.

Just open.

Just open.

Just open.

But you need to open at the PRECISE.

And I mean PRECISE moment.

A moment too soon and you miss it, a moment too late you collapse.

The majority of people won’t understand what I’m talking about.

That’s ok.

But where I’ve come through to is it is so damn simple.

Literally it’s just all energy and if you understand the energetic law, it’s SO. DAMN. SIMPLE.

This birthday feels so fresh.

It feels like I have finally gotten past the breakers

But I’m ready

Really ready for this next chapter

It feels rich and lucious and like we are going to go to new places
