The standard kind is layering Ego to create a complex multilayered identity that makes it seem like you unique.
The second is to peel away that which is not True and allow the universe to move through you in the way it could only move through you.
The first leads to disconnection, comparison, loneliness and depression. Which ironically also leads to the beginning of the second kind.
The second leads to flow, and bliss, and heart opening and deep reverence.
The path to the second is the unwinding of the first and one of the first things people do when they begin to unwind is mimicry.
They copy. Because they want to replace that which is being unwound. Spiritual ego you could call this.
I see a lot of people point to this phase with a lot of disapproval, but it would be like shaming a toddler who wants to act like mommy. It’s actually just part of our spiritual development.
It’s normal to spin around in Egoic layers as we journey.
It’s normal to miss an exit and rerun a pattern.
It’s normal to feel like we are where we started but we are a bit different.
The thing about this practice that I’ve learned is that it’s a never ending spiral but it gets easier, clearer and things move with greater ease the longer we practice. But there is no end to practice. Every moment is practice.
Stillness in the chaos.
Descended spirit fully in the body.
Enjoying the ride and approval of the delicious imperfections of being human.
Who cares about enlightenment?
I never have.
Seems like a masculine goal to me.
My practice is how can I be the full potentiated expression the universe has intended.
And to do that I must open open open…
Then I must participate.
And when you are truly expressed you don’t think about individuation because it simply is and you experience a depth of connection that is so much sweeter.
